"All worthy work is open to interpretations the author did not intend. Art isn’t your pet — it’s your kid. It grows up and talks back to you."

Check out my completed campaign for the hypothetical Blu-ray release of Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

Every time I watch Willow perform her spell in Chosen and all the potentials get their power, I think maybe this time it will be me

I don’t expect I will ever get over this.

Felt like starting some Buffy while I contemplate my homework…

Welcome to the Hellmouth! :D

30 Days of Whedon : Day 05 : Favourite episode of Buffy
The Body (05x16)
There are a lot of excellent episodes of Buffy, but for me this one tops everything.  In fact, in my opinion, this is possibly one of the best episodes of television I’ve ever seen.  It is incredible and flawless.  I love the lack of music.  I love the awkwardness of the characters and the way they don’t magically know how to deal with death.  I love the powerful emotions, and the way they vary to uniquely suit each person.

30 Days of Whedon : Day 04 : Favourite Non-Human Character
Lorne
(I took this to be non-human, non-vampire, as there is a separate day for favourite vampire.)
I love Lorne.  He’s entertaining and hilarious, and totally different from any other character on Angel.

30 Days of Whedon: Day 03: Favourite Male Character.
Rupert Giles.
This one took me a bit, as frankly my favourite Whedon characters are the females.  But Giles… if I were a Slayer, there is no one I would rather have as my Watcher/father-substitute/friend than Giles.  Even not as a slayer, I’d love to be friends with him…

30 Days of Whedon: Day 01: Favourite Whedon show

Okay, I really couldn’t choose one.  But I managed to limit myself to two.

I can summarize my number one reason for loving both with one word: characters.  Both of these shows have some of my favourite characters ever to grace television.  And while the premise of these shows seems like the characters would be entirely unrelateable (spaceship?  vampires/monsters?), the characters are put in amazingly relateable situations and show the beautiful spectrum of humanity.

(I’ll go more into my favourites of these characters on the later days!)

Secondary characters picspam

I absolutely love shows with brilliant secondary/guest characters (the ones who aren’t the stars, who you don’t see every week, but are just fantastic all the same).

Leave a request in my ask box of a secondary/guest character and I will do a graphic of top caps of that character.

(Shows I’m watch are somewhat better, but don’t take that as a limitation! If they are a single episode character, please include show/season/episode if possible.)
